Hi everyone and thank goodness its cooler today, phewwww.
My question is regarding MIRTAZAPINE and I’d like to ask if anyone has noticed symptoms worse when taking MIRTAZAPINE. The reason for my question is because I have been taking it for past 3 days and despite noticing improvements in things, I have noticed back pain worse than ever and on taking it, after about a hour, my balance is worse than ever and I can hardly walk ( which was a problem to start with )
No from me. The only unwanted side-effect I experienced was a strong desire to eat cake. I don’t even like cake. I remember joking to Mr Alison100 that mirtazapine’s anti-depressant action might be through replacing gloomy ruminations with thoughts of CAKE. After a few weeks, the cake thoughts went away (as did the cake-related half stone that went as quickly as it had come) and my mood and sleep improved markedly and stayed that way. For me it is a very good drug. I hope that you find the same.
Thank you for your reply, must admit the cake desire sounded familiar, I had a desire for cake which lasted about 12 months, although it had nothing to do with this medication ( MIRTAZAPINE) and normally I have a savoury ‘tooth’ but for 12 month it developed into a 'sweet tooth ’ !!! Weird…
