First dates, your thoughts?

Do you happen to watch Channel 4’s ? If you’re not a fan or have simply never seen the show before, well, quite simply put, it’s about first dates. Two strangers are set up on a date where the cameras capture the highs and lows that surround a first date, from those awkward first introductions to the joyous (if they’re lucky) kiss goodnight.

This week’s show featured 24-year-old Ekow, who is living with MS and uses a wheelchair. On the show, he talked about first impressions and wasn’t quite sure about how his date would react to him being in a wheelchair.

In the end, Ekow and his date Deborah got on well, so no concerns there, but it had us thinking: Have you ever experienced similar uncertainties on a first date and worried what your date might think about your MS? Please share any of your opinions or experiences with us.

i watched it on catch up last night.

Ekow was lovely, he looked like a musician.

the only experience i have is as a long married female with friends who are open minded and then some who are not.

the open minded ones are great, they don’t talk about it unless i do.

the others often throw their (worthless in my opinion) views into the conversation.

deborah showed her open mindedness at the start of the conversation, discussing her sexuality, so really ekow should have found it easy to talk about his ms.

i’m well known as a stroppy mare so the male species would need warning. (hahaha)

The best first date is a real date, not on TV. Especially nowadays, it is quite easy to meet a girl, thanks to the Internet. There are plenty of such platforms on the Internet.

The original post dates back 6 years! And it refers to a specific episode involving someone with MS appeari9njg on the show. I don’t the post was an invitation to critique First Dates as a show or to promote dating sites in general.
