Feels like flu?

Feels like flu.

Hi,

When I got up yesterday I knew it was going to be a bad day.

I had pins and needles down one arm, aches in a lot of joints, a feeling of heat in my sinuses and blurry eyes. In short they were symptoms I’ve always associated with the onset of a cold or even 'flu. As on every other occasion the feeling had passed by this morning and it’s as if it never happened.

Yesterday I had all the signs of an infection. Today I don’t. Is this how MS works for other people?

hi john

yes the burning sensation feels like an infection.

if it IS an infection my legs have had it so badly and for so long, it’s a miracle that i’m still alive.

like the pins and needles i’m so used to it that it’s become a way of life.

anyway we are both still here so have a fabulous day.

Hi yes i believe this is MS fatigue. I get it when i have overdone it. I could swear i was coming down with flu, then the next day i feel better again. stupid disease honestly.

Yes John , it can feel like flu, everything can be so unpredictable , changing from day to day. It started to live expecting the unexpected, sounds a bit nervey but after a while you get more used to it, kinda.

I also get the aching muscle feeling, like flu but it can go just as quickly as it comes. Is it really an ms symptom? Sometimes it really hurts. Seen the rheumatologist who said nothing wrong :frowning:

Well, maybe your immune system just managed to win that battle. Having an immune system with a shoot-first-ask-questions-later policy must surely bring some benefits!
