Hello Everyone. I have been told today by my GP that on my initial examination the Neurologist found an issue with my eyes. I have never really had trouble with them except for the past 3 days when I have developed twinkly lights and black spots. What exactly are they looking at when they do all that follow the finger stuff and what do the sudden lights mean? Is it necessarily a neurological problem or could he have just found a standard sort of eye problem? It has just come as a bit of a shock as all of the symptoms I have experienced he never mentioned yet the one thing I hadn’t had a problem with at the time of seeing him he has mentioned… Thanks xxxx Evie Xxxx
Hi Evie,
Probable there is no problem with your eye but a lesion in the nerve from the eye to the brain.
See http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/opticneuritis.html
The only test to see if you have this problem is a Visual Evoked Potential http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/VisuallyEvokedResponse.html
The black dots are called floaters
