Does this sound like a relapse!! X

Hi I posted a lot on here a while ago when I got my first symptoms. The last couple of months I have felt so much better that I’ve got back to normality. My neuro has given me a diagnosis of conversion disorder or fnd. About a week and a half ago I started to feel less energetic again. I the went in to have excruciating pain and problems in my bladder. Been taking my muscle relaxant in the day as well as at night now. Today I have the most excruciating pain in my lower back. I just can’t describe how much pain I am in. It has actually got me in tears. I also woke up today with my left foot completely numb, however once I moved it about the feeling returned ( thank goodness) My spasms in the legs have also returned. I feel I have nowhere to turn at the moment. If I contact the neuro they speak to me like I’m a psychiatric patient. If I go to the doctor they don’t seem to have a clue. Before all this occurred I was rarely at the gp. The whole thing is starting to drive me mad. I’ve never experienced pain like this before. I’m due to have a second opinion in May that I’ve waited 3 and a half months for but I just can’t cope with the constant pain I’m in x

Hi jojow, I think the relapse aside, could it be you have had a water infection that may have caused a kidney infection? Maybe worth a visit to your gp just to get it tested. Kidney infections are extremely painful, I have had them a few times. Water infections can exacerbate relapse symptoms and from what I gather, but don’t quote me, can cause a relapse. Best to get it checked out. J x

Hi thanks for the reply. I was concerned I had a water infection but visited the emergancy doctor on sat and had it checked, no sign of infection. He did give me antibiotics just to be on the safe side. Unsure if a kidney infection shows in the urine? I visited my gp today and he kindly upped my dose of clonazepam so no longer in the pain I was, although my left foot not feeling quite right x

Poor you! Well I really hope you start feeling better soon. Take care J x

Thanks very much xx
