does canabis help with ms???

I hear a lot about this topic but is it true?? Does canabis really help with ms or is this a excuse to use it??

For me it does. If I don’t use it, I know about it. Cannabis relieves my symptoms.

But do you use if only if and when u need to or excessively?

Only when I need to, which is every night before I go to bed.

But is this a sleeping issue it helps with or does your ms effect you every night?

No, it is a spasm issue. During the day, I can cope with it. At night it becomes unbearable, so I use Cannabis to alleviate the pain. And yes, it is every night.

I’ve never experienced this issue I’ve had a number of relapses whilst on copaxone and experienced a week or two of the ms hug that was a horrible feeling as I was not aware of this in the past and thought I was having a pannic attack or even worse a heart attack, but I’ve recently heard lots of people say “cannabis” helps with ms and its a question I’ve never really had a answer too. Thanks for telling me your reasons for using cannabis. Martin

You are welcome

I got a lump sat here tried it on & off martin tbh it’s not a route i intend to go down while my kids live at home , 1 night i fell over the garden furniture at 4am i was in the doghouse the next day  my advice if you’ve lost sight in 1 eye or having balance issues be very careful of tripping or stumbling as all it did for me was make it worse so i decided to hide it away til a later date as ive had pain for 14yrs & the meds sometimes take the edge off all the best mate

Hi Folks

Run out of cannabis. Might ask MS Nurse, Doctor, Specialist for Sativex. I don’t smoke so, Cannabis tea definetly helped prevent much fatigue. Have’nt had any for some time and I reckon my symptoms are worse. Not a recreational thing for me but certainly alleviates the affects of MS. Anyway, it’s about time they made Cannibis legal.

Funny thing is, no MS nurse doctor or specialist has ever prescribed Sativex for me. Do I have to ask for it?

Patrick

Most GPs/neuros wont prescribe sativex, but it is worth asking.
