I usually love the first snowfall of the year because it makes the street outside look white and clean.
Now my reaction is mixed, it looks nice, it looks dangerous.
Let’s be careful out there (to quote Sgt Esterhaus of Hill Street Blues).

It’s dangerous to lots of people, I have an elderly neighbour who is fiercely independent and goes to the local shops every day.
I worry about her because an injury from a fall would mean the loss of her independence.
My boots have an amazing tread so as long as I’m wearing them I feel secure,
They are also cool in appearance, biker style with buckles down the side.
I had cats, 5 at one point.
we live on a busy road and one by one they all met their end on it.
so I console myself that when it’s my turn my cats will meet me on the bridge.
Tiger, Dusty, Pigpen, George and Pepper.
My sister’s dog, Stella too.
We`ve had no snow over Christmas here in my bit of West Yorkshire. Other parts of Halifax have had some…but no-one is snowed in…yet.
Re losing our pets…I look forward to the day I meet Snowy, Poochi, Pepi, Lucy and Sindy…all our beloved poodles. I have Sophie now to cuddle. She`s 6, so plenty of time for special cuddles with her.
