Collapsed and admitted to hospital with suspected stroke
Turned out to be the nasty combination of MS and COVID
Called 111 when I couldn’t even sit up - scary
Paramedics were brilliant and got me into a ward (avoiding A&E)
In isolation now having requested a COVID test.
Wont be escaping while I have a fever and unable to cope better

Hi WobblyMa. I had Covid a couple of years ago. My wife and I got it pretty bad - as passengers in a people carrier over several days with two others one of whom had a cough which turned out to be Covid. It wasn’t much fun ( to put it mildly) and if it had got any worse it would have been hospital. For a couple of days I couldn’t walk and had to rely on my little mobility scooter to get to the bathroom. Sorry to say it took me the best part of a year to recover fully. I hope very much that you have a speedier recovery !
I got the antiviral ‘Paxlovid’ which, as I recall was delivered very quickly after registering my details on what I think was an NHS site.
I’m now very careful about avoiding crowded, airless places and when visiting anywhere I still use an alcohol gel on my hands

I had Covid at the beginning of the epidemic. My legs collapsed under me and I couldn’t get up. I was blue lighted into resus and was in hospital for eight days. I couldn’t use stairs or even get up from the toilet once home . I saw a neuro physiotherapist for six weeks who gave me bed exercises to do three times a week at home. This really helped and my mobility returned to what was normal for me. In the early days of the Covid epidemic they did not treat with anti virals but I am told they aid a much quicker recovery now.

Covid every year since its arrival, even though I had five jabs already, not this year yet touch wood. 
It’s the 40c fever that really floors me, because of extreme heat intolerance, I cannot move at all.
