Morning TeddyBear1, I had covid in 2022 and was given the antivirals. I was absolutely fine, I’m not sure if the guidelines have changed regarding the antivirals but it might be worth checking with your GP/medical team.
Much love
Maryx
I got it… after three and a half years of doing everything possible to avoid it and having all the vaccinations! It was just like having the flu, and I don’t deny that I felt absolutely rotten for about three days. But staying in bed with my go-to remedy - Lemsip with an added shot of whiskey - sorted it.
Hello @TeddyBear1
I caught covid twice within a year this year, I took the paxlovid antiviral once last August, I think you will recover still with or without.
I just had my covid + flu jabs last week, sixth time now, also caught actual covid + flu just as many times.
Get well soon,
JP
I had Covid in 2022, started with a bad headache, temperature, aching and got quite wheezy (asthma); was in bed for a couple of days, then it started to improve - took about 5 weeks to really get over it, but most of that time it was just a case of getting tired faster than usual. It did aggravate my usual symptoms a bit, but then a normal cold, ear infection or UTI will do that.
Sorry to hear you’ve picked it up again…. I had it about four years ago and was mildly under the weather for a day then it cleared up. I took some paracetamol for a couple of days just in case. I am fully vaccinated though, hopefully that helped.
