Covid round 2!

Grrrr!

No idea how i caught it, but since my sore throat started on Saturday my body has been twitching. My restless legs, that have more or lesss been under control, since I started taking pregablin, are back again and I’m getting nerve twitches in my arm and on my chin! It’s obviously a reaction to the virus.

I took my first lft on Monday evening just before i was due to go to my fortnightly art class and again on Tuesday to check as the T line was faint on my first attempt, but theres no doubt about it i have covid again and I’ve had 4 jabs! Lets hope it’s not as bad as last time!

First thing yesterday, I sent off my priority pcr covid test and I’m waiting for official confirmation that i have the lergy, but the ball has already started rolling and I’ve had a call to say someone will call me tomorrow to discuss the anti viral options around 11.30 tomorrow. Why i have to wait i dont know, but my body is not liking this vurus so far!

So, I’ve e decided to lie low, take some time off work and I’m going to take it easy for a few days.

Wish me luck!

Sharon

Glad you are able to take time off work, which is still what we are asked to do even though it is not now a legal requirement.
A friend under similar circumstances (may have only had 3 jabs) bounced back very well and quickly after the antivirals.
I think the regulations now allow the prescription of the antivirals (if you are on the at risk list) just on the strength of a lateral flow test, so for others it may be worth trying to save a day by inquiring.

Right, so ive just had a call to say i need to have an infusion for the antiviral meds as the tablet form may react with my thyroxine medication. Waiting for another call now.

Good luck and get well soon xx

Yay, looks like ive turned a corner and I’m feeling much better. I’ll have a conversation with the anti-viral people today but I’m not sure it’s needed now unless It’ll help improve my ms symptoms which reared their ugley heads the day of my first covid symptom.

Thanks for the good wishes x

I told my daughter i had received a box, she kind of ignored me. Then her partner who has R.A. got covid, so i said to her isnt he classed as vulnerable why didnt he get a priority box sent to him.

I was told its rubbish as its only for people who want to be in a study for oxford university and take part. She wont have it thats not true. I gave up.

I am glad your feeliing better though just rest and hydrate is all you can do. xxxx

Cheers @crazychick, after a conversation with a Dr we decided i wasnt heading in the direction of serious virus progression. So I’m not taking the antiviral medication, but I’m waiting for an oxygen level testing kit, which should have been delivered by now!
Day 9 and I’m still testing positive with 2 very strong red lines, but I’m mostly feeling like i have a bad cold, a bit of a cough and a bit tired. But thus morning my husband said I looked pale this morning, so I hope it arrives soon! Just slightly regretting not having the antiviral now!
