Covid & extreme pain

Hi all,

I hope everyone is keeping well?

I came over feeling absolutely shocking today, just after lunchtime.

I had severe pain in my entire legs, ankles, hips and lower back.
I have finally resorted to using a cane after 10 years of being a stubborn git but this pain is worse than when I was in a wheelchair 12 years ago.

I came home and did a covid test and love & behold it was positive. By now, I’ve also had a shooting chest pain and just feel shattered.

However, it’s the leg, hip & bag pain that is troubling me the most.
This is the reason for the cane introduction.

Do any of you good people have experience of this or can advise?

I’ve registered the positive result and remember getting a letter about earlier treatment due to meds etc.

Thanks in advance

Hi

I was talking to my neighbour a few days ago. She’d very recently had Covid. She doesn’t have MS, but she did have widespread joint pain and muscle pain from Covid, as well as fatigue and sore throat and runny nose. Seems to be pretty common with the latest variants. She’s much better now - just got a cough which is hanging on, but the aches and pains have gone.

Hope that your pain also resolves itself, and all the other symptoms too.

I think the treatment that should be available to you needs to be taken very soon after infection, for it to work, so hope you have followed up on that.

If you are in the U.K. you should be offered antivirals to speedy your recovery from COVID.

I did not suffer any pain but was in the process of reporting a major mobility relapse when my wife tested positive for COVID and I did a test that came back positive. Taking a lot longer to shake the pseudo relapse.

Hi I’m just recovering from covid. The actual covid symptoms, raging temp weren’t too bad, it was the MS symptoms that were exactly as you described so only been 2 weeks since I’ve been covid negative and the MS pains are only just beginning to ease Interestingly my husbands most troubling symptoms were the same and he doesn’t have MS
