People probably put this on all the time but, does anyone have any tips on coping in the summer? My symptoms seem to flare up.
Mine too, any extreme,s heat or cold.
Fans for heat…even mini fans for travel
Frio neckband is a big help for me…I think you will find it if you google but if not I will find a link for you.

lot of fans, a car with air conditioning if you have a car, lots of ice and fluids, and umbrella when walking around to keep the sun off of you, stay in the shade, pretty much dont do a lot, use the summer for relaxing
i got a portable air con unit, wouldnt be without it,i would love air conditioning installed but the few hot weeks we do get, doesnt justify the cost.
I too suffer with the heat.
Lots of fans. I have an air cond machine which is brilliant.
Also chillo pillows are brilliant. You can get them from Amazon.
Hope you find something that helps.

Hi
My favourite thing is a cold shower, as the effects will last for ages. Or for a quick fix, hold your wrists under a cold tap for a few minutes with your hands bent back so the veins are exposed. This will help cool down your blood, which will in turn help cool down your core. There’s also some you can get called a Kool Tie (http://soocool.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=65). I’ve not got one myself, but think I’ll give it a go.

I have a couple of Kool Ties in different colours (so I can colour co-ordinate my outfits) and they are a blessing on a really warm day. I find it is better to stay cool than it is to overheat and then try to cool down.
I sleep with a large fan beside the bed so I don’t wake up hot and sticky, have a cool shower, wear cool, natural fabrics, stay out of the heat if possible. I also keep a can of Magicool handy for a quick spritz if I am getting hot.
I also keep a hot water bottle in the fridge so it is ready when I am too hot. That really is bliss when my feet are on fire …

I use frio coolie ties and a chillow pillow plus fans and agree that keeping cool is much less stressful than trying to cool off after you overheat.

Love the chillow. Is lovely if you sitting and feeling too hot. I lay it over my feet or even just across my lap. It s not icy cold but it does keep your temperature down.
I’ve never seen a Frio neckband but they seem like a really idea, I think I might try one!
I think a major problem I have is that I quite like the sun. So there’s the conflicting I want to be outside in the brightness but the if I do it may lead to symptons which can just make it uncomfortable.
All these gadgets Chillows?!
O.k, I know what I’m spending my pay packet on!
Thanks guys!

Ooh, I’ve just googled Frio and I see that Amazon sell wrist bands, head bands and a migraine cooler which covers the whole head including the eyes to block out light. I’ve added one to my wish list …

Definitelly the cold water on wrists - for a quick cool down it works wonders
