Hi gang, London is boiling… must be in the 80s!!! As far as I know the whole country is hot. Is it? Always remember that MS does NOT like the heat… so keep coooool everyone. I sat down in our garden for a while. Was lovely… but since they’ve cut the staff here so much it’s looking so neglected. I watered some pots while out there but blimey… paying for it now. Hope everyone’s doing ok??? Give your tips for keeping cool. Mine is get yourself a good strong fan… close curtains or blinds to keep the sun out… and wear as little as possible!!! Love to all, Pat xx
Hello Pat,
I’ve finally managed to get a new laptop as the old one died. If I’m going to sit in the sun I make sure there’s a good breeze around. Yesterday it was on the coast by Eastbourne. Where I live it’s never not windy (highest point of East Sussex) so I can generally stay cool. When it’s not I follow your recommendations. The heat has sneaked up on me far too often before. Best wishes, Steve x.

Freeze a bottle of water (removing a drop first) and stick it in front of that powerful fan of yours. It does work, honest.
Thanks Whammel… I’ll do that. Pat xx
Just been out for fish and chips with friends He drove and the wives sat in the back sat on sea front at Herne Bay and eat them in the car. All the curtains have been closed in the house all day. We spent a few hours out and had the coolest part of the day searching for donkeys. We Eventually found them I hope Heathers photos of the elusive Donk Donks come out if they do I will blog about them on http://disableddon.blogspot.co.uk/ or my other blog http://promotethanet.blogspot.co.uk/
We havent go the fans out yet but the frozen bottle of water will be a must to cool this sweat box down. The curtains have been shut all day and the fly screen went up on back door.
STAY COOL PAT

[/quote] Ah, Herne Bay, happy memories! Lived in assorted rented bed sits and house shares there. I know people knock it, but I loved it, especially out of season. I still miss the sound of the waves on the shingle. It didn’t seem too hot up here in north Bucks yesterday, though I didn’t go out. Ruth said it was twenty ish when she went out. Didn’t feel uncomfortable. But I will remember the fan + frozen water bottle idea!
Thanks Don… and brilliant blog! Pat xx
Best thing in the world…sat by the sea and fish and chips, been doing that myself this week, just loved it.
