I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS in 2021. At the time I was told I did not qualify for treatment. Since 2021 I have not had a relapse that I have noticed and feel really well.
I had an MRI in august 23, and my consultant only just looked at the MRI 2 weeks ago. This showed my MS is now classed as active and my MS nurse called to tell me they would like me to start Mavenclad. However I am currently trying for a baby. My MS nurse heavily recommended that we stopped trying, when I said this is not something I felt comfortable with, they asked me to talk it through with my husband and said they hoped my husband would change my mind.
Me and my husband are now faced with an impossible decision to make, and I do not know what to do. Does anyone have any advice?
Hi
Can you not go on copaxone which is safe in pregnancy? I know its not the best treatment but better than being on nothing
I have been offered capoxone but I’ve been told as it’s not effective, it’s not what they recommend.

Copaxone, Avonex and Plegridy are all safe options when you try to conceive. When you get pregnant, you won’t be getting relapses anyway. Some neurologists do consider tysabri safe enough for pregnancy… I am on plegridy, but I was told that if I develop a lesson, they will give me tysabri. I am 43 years old. I have never had children, my husband has never had children… basically trying for a baby now is our very last hope.
