Hi, im just wondering if anyone has any advice or something similar that has happened. For 7 months now, this began in september, ive had daily tingling in lower limbs and a buzzing sensation in both feet off and on every day and also a wet sensation in the legs. My balance feels off when im out in public settings aswell, light headedness. I went for a mri of the brain and spine last month with no contrast as the doctor said b12 etc was normal and he said ms could be a possibility. Thankfully the results came back normal, just a little wear and tear of spine. It now has been shut down as no ms findings were present but I still have the leg tingling and occasional foot vibration feeling. Could it be too early for ms to show up on a mri even though ive had symptoms each day for 7 months? Is a mri with contrast needed? Or a lumber puncture? Or would none of this be considered as spine and brain showed no signs of it? I would love to know if anyone has any thoughts as I am at a loss with all this, not knowing what to do next. Thanks
Hi there,
Sorry to hear you have been having these symptoms for some months @Feelingblue . It must be worrying.
It’s great news that your MRI is clear. I think that if there are no lesions it would be very unlikely that you have MS.
Do you have a follow up appointment with the neurologist to discuss the results? You could ask them what they think might be going on and what other conditions it could be, and what other tests they might need to do.
Good luck with it!
Alison
Hiya sorry to hear about your frustrating journey I hope you get answers soon . No one wants health problems but when you know something is not right with your body then you start going mad wanting answers . Honestly if your told your MRI is clear I mean this in the nicest respectful way possible but this society group is not for you which is a good thing because no one wants MS! I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I do hope you get answers soon but am glad it’s not MS as lesions should of showed up in your MRI. All the best with your journey
Sorry to hear you are experiencing symptoms with no answers - i know full well how frustrating this can be!
I’m not sure about your questions but really hoping you have some kind of follow up and get some more information soon.
I would really recommend you keep note of any symptoms, appointments and tests for your own reference in future appointments. Do go back to your gp if anything changes and if you are still experiencing symptoms with no resolution.
Really hoping you get some answers soon!
