I’ve been a member for a coupla weeks now, and I have a few questions about this site…
This ‘buddy’ system. Does anyone use it ? With a previous post to do with Flowerpot, I stated a wasn’t a stalker, I don’t want to list people I find interesting and find it just makes me out to be the aforementioned.
Is it ok to be not so serious ? I’m in retail and have to be sensible most of the time…ok, some of the time, ok, occasionally, is it frowned upon ? (Time and a place and all)
Tomorrow is my 19th anniversary of diagnosis. I’m kinda coming to terms with it all now (Hey, I’ve finally joined up to this…) These T shirts you sell…are they open to mere minions, or do you need to be wholesale ? I like the idea of the ‘I’m not drunk’ T shirts, but the images wouldn’t load. (Incidentally, my wife wants a T shirt that says ‘But I AM drunk’ to go with it?). Are the prices RRP ?
If I fill a dog with helium, could I walk it down the street like a balloon ? (See question 2)
Can you import pictures onto here ? A picture says a 1000 words, but I don’t know in which language. I do have some stoopid pictures that make me/others chuckle. Who doesn’t? I use humour to deflect, but find it helps too.
I hope I didn’t offend Boudica. Nothing meant by it, just trying to be funny with the Roman thing…
I enjoy stupid questions; they kind of fall into my specialist subject. (i am very ‘special’.)
Jokes are frowned upon. Good humour is welcomed. the distinction between the two will be quickly impressed upon you by the admin staff i have no doubt.
Photographic files seem to be limited to avatars. This is a pity, but understandable.

I totally want to stalk Paolo (I mean, who’d not want to?!) so it had better be ok. But seriously, I have no idea, maybe it’s a feature that people just don’t really take much notice of?
I did wonder this myself,but I think it seems super serious because there’s no forum that’s specified for normal chatting (though this one is absolutely for that too), and maybe because we’re unused to having a bunch of people on hand to talk about MS with, and because the forum is the society’s, the majority of the threads do end up being disease-centric.
I think we end up talking about MS stuff so much simply because there’s few threads made about anything else!
You can post pics by right-clicking on them and selecting copy image, then ctrl+v to paste. But posting an image from elsewhere’s hotlinking and that’s a naughty naughty thing to do as it’s using the bandwidth of the site the image is copied from, awfully bad netiquette, dahling! But if you take another step and paste the image’s url into an image uploading site (like http://imgur.com/) then copy the image from there it shouldn’t be offending anyone. There’s no image resizing on here though, so you might end up posting some massive page-stretching behemoth.
But I’ve no idea if the admins are ok with images being posted? As a relevant part of a conversation, maybe fine? Would be great to know for sure. I don’t think they’d be cool with things like posts of just memes and so on.
I obviously can’t speak for Poll, but I did hear she was getting the spikes on her chair’s wheels sharpened, and was enquiring about the direction to this village of yours…

Hi Andy liked reading the banter between you and jellysundae it brightens the day when you have a bit of fun, maybe the forum can do a fun site where you can be a bit daft and tell a joke or 2. If you collect friends and send private messages you should be able to have a laugh…
