buzzing and feeling trembly

I have had a feeling of being trembly all over with no overt signs to see, also waking every day with buzzing from the base of my skull to my thoracic spine, like an annoying fluorescent light that needs changing! This sensation can also occur at anytime while resting. I know that Christmas is a busy time stressful, hard work and fun with a few late nights thrown in for good measure, but is it all worth it to end up like this! (I did enjoy it all!) Anyone else paid the price of Christmas

I have these things on and off most of the time also and if I push it trying to walk (which is basically more than the length of my downstairs) then I start shaking badly and walking like kryton (red dwarf) Krissy x

I think I just slept through Christmas! When I get stressed I just pass out. I also get a lot of buzzing in my body in general but normally at night.

are you taking any neuropathic painkillers?

[quote=samjj]I have had a feeling of being trembly all over with no overt signs to see Hi Samjj, I had this exact same feeling a year ago throughout December and January. Walking downstairs made my legs feel even more trembly and holding out my arms to do my hair made my arms even more trembly. But it was also present when resting. Sometimes it felt so hard for my neck to support the weight of my head. It seemed to go on for so long I thought it would never go away. But it has, fortunately, and I very rarely feel this now (just occassionally if I’m particularly tired). I hope things improve for you soon. Best wishes, RedShoes xx

Hi samjj. yes I get the buzzing, its always worse when i’m trying to sleep or just when I wake up. It appears either throughout my whole core or can happen in random areas of my body at any time for no apparent reason, its a weird one.

hi, yup i’m another buzzy mser, it’s so unsettling isn’t it? i get it from my mid ribs down over, sometimes all the way down or sometimes it’s patchy. i’m not explaining it very well, but i hate it. i tried explaining it to my neuro doc, but he didn’t quite follow, oh well. my body seemed to just zonk out after christmas, i’ve just slept and slept. i’m buzzing now, hmph.

Oh me too! I can hold my hand out, expecting it to be trembling but it isn’t. I was dx last Easter and my symptoms have levelled out since then. At the start, my fingers used to get twitchy and I’d worry when I felt myself getting shaky. Now I’m slowly getting used to it. I have a constant buzz which has faded to ‘white noise’ and I usually don’t bother about it. Your ‘fluorescent light’ analogy is spot on. Mine is worse when I overdo things and get tired. If I push myself at exercising, my muscles shake so I know now that exercising little & often works better for me. Also I have to stop at one coffee. Apart from that, red wine works a treat when I have a tremor - it stops my teeth chattering! My ms nurse suggested it and his advice has been gratefully followed. As Bunnythecat says, ‘it’s a weird one’… Jane xx

Buzz is very annoying, especially at night - feels like I’ve been plugged into the mains socket. I don’t mind it too much. After having gone completely spastic in an episode a few years ago, when I felt like I’d been plugged into the power station, I’ll take a bit of buzz!!!

Hi, thanks to everyone who replied to my post, good to know that I am not the only one buzzing and trembly. Sam J
