Or I found that you can get Menthol from the chemist, mix some up with boiling water and the steam will help clear the tubes

i got some alcohol baubles last year, they had different cocktails in.

they looked pretty but tasted rank!

Hahaha love this ! Thank you AD for your brutal honesty really made me laugh

Oooo cherry tunes they were lovely ! I saw the gin baubles getting a review on good morning Britain but I can’t remember what they said about them because they were on before some even naughtier crackers for adults … I got distracted sorry guess that’s me out of the running for news reporter on the IOD!

Catwomen, you could try my tricks.

No. 1 get someone else to look in the first place you thought it might be. (I usually find what I can’t find eventually in the first place I just didn’t see it when I searched, hence a second person)

No. 2. Play make pretend ! Get a pice of paper, or something, pretend it’s the voucher, think ’ where shall I put it to keep it safe’ !

good luck

thanks sarah

i 've thought that i have a blind spot when i look for anything.

it winds my husband up badly.

then again he has a deaf spot when i speak to him!

we are two ageing and decrepit old buggers.

knock kneed knackered old nose bags, to quote nellie pledge who you won’t have heard of if you weren’t around in the sixties.

carole x

I’ve heard a lot of things about the sixties and I deny it all.

I like 60s music !

I’ve returned from the good food show!! I have earned brownies and biscuits and cheese and mince pies etc but I have also tried so many gins enough to inform my conclusion that there’s not a nice rhubarb gin out there… however the elderflower gin was divine! I have fallen in love with toffeee vodka it’s so beautiful… and the sloe whiskey has gone down a treat ! Basically we don’t know a lot about the food but the drink was very good!! Currently sitting with a glsss of pinot grigio things will get a little less sophisticated when Mr FB brings the tofee vodka liqueur out of our cupboard … X

Haven’t been to the Good Food Show in years. Was it the one at the NEC Birmingham ?

Yes grandma sunny Birmingham! We really enjoyed it and it wasn’t too packed either which was nice. Tasted some wonderful chocolate you would have enjoyed x

Why didn’t you tell me ??

So sorry but I did eat enough for the both of us … turns out French chocolate is lovely x

Alcoholic baubles!!! Carole, what have I missed? Anything with Gin in is perfectly acceptable, anything, sock, slipper, if your posh a glass… I have partaken of a rather lovely (litre) bottle of a certain welsh whiskey this weekend & back to back Peaky Blinders (hence the absence). Jamaican ginger beer, tall glass, no ice. I have now finished said bottle & am now back in the room. I have visited the time warp, ended up back in November 2016 (who did that!!!) & I have now caught up. Sue, dark chocolate liquors, well I’m well up for that, Unicorn phlem? I’ll pass on that Mr D, thank you anyway. Flutterby, Grandma don’t fight over french chocolate, Belgium 1 is best. Grandma is best at the chocolate malarkey, she’s road tested all of them, when there’s a chocolate shortage, we know where to come missus. xx

Hahaha you would have loved my day Tracey!! I’m tipping a tipple of toffee vodka to you as I post this … bottoms up xx

Was it the Welsh version babes? I did have a little try at making it myself, along with a pear drops 1, but it was a bit gloopy & resembled Mr Ds unicorn phlegm (with floaty bits) I was annihilated & I drank it, the aftermath I won’t inflict on you but it was projectile. I have been to the NEC food festival, many moons ago. Nowadays it’s the Llangollen 1 I frequent, same but a tad smaller! Talking of Birmingham, I am off to watch Slade in a couple of weeks time! I can stake my life on what they will begin withxxx

Forgot to add babe, bottoms up! Mine’s a Penderyn Whiskey, but it’ll do xxx
