Oh and btw Albie, very nice hat. I like the feather. Are you trying to insinuate something about birds? And this old outfit was one I kept in the loft. I had to fight with the owls and martins for it. But I won. Duckface.

No. I think you have the wrong idea about me. I’m actually a very small duck. But I keep costumes in the loft for when I fancy being a slightly larger personage. Ie a goose or a swan.
That’s why I’ve never argued about being addressed as ‘Duckface’. In reality, I do have a rather small duck face.

Enjoying a lump of rice pudding …
I posted out of sheer frustration, exasperation and exhaustion Sue.
Our darling little poodle woke us up at 3.15 am and dh put her outside for a puddle but she didn’t want to go back into her bedroom (crate) so she decided she was going to yap and cry until the magic 6 am when she is allowed into our room. Then we overslept and missed church

do you make it with toffee skin or as my father in law used to call it oil cloth which quickly became loincloth!

Carole, to be honest it was more of a dollop than a lump and yes it had a skin on it (is there any other kind of rice pudding)? I always add a nob of butter, vanilla extract and brown sugar. Don’t know quite what happened with the previous 2 efforts but we were able to slice it x
In the absence of the lovely Mrs DC (where is she anyway?) I have to add my pennorth to this subject. Can’t do rice pudding skin. In fact, I don’t think me and rice pudding go at all. Not sure as I’ve not had to eat it for years. But I do know that I could never ever eat skin. Or skin on custard come to that. Horrible.
