Morning all,
Feeling a bit rubbish; not to go into detail, but had a bit of ‘bowel urgency’ this morning, and it was a close call. Now been feeling quite tired and low energy all morning. Anyone else get this?
I was describing to a family member that I feel like I’ve been in a snow globe over the past few weeks; just standing still in my little globe, minding my own business, and then someone shakes the globe, and all the snow goes everywhere and I’m trying to deal with it, and then it all settles down again. Sigh.

Hello, I feel similar and had exactly the same issues this morning. I am putting it down to the recent drop to more normal temperatures. Every time anything like things getting hot my body gets in a right mess - sleep bowels, tiredness etc etc the list goes on

Sorry to hear you’ve been going through all that, the heat has been horrible hasn’t it.
Hello, I’m relatively new round here and start treatment next week. Your snow globe description is so accurate, this is exactly how I feel at the moment. X

Who knew this was a thing! Adding my name to the hat. Everything is wonky that’s for sure. Bowel urgency is no fun for sure! I was asked to go for a weekend away but I just dont feel confident in my body I made some stupid excuse but I know people will soon stop asking

It’s not nice , I experienced a few episodes of the when I first started my DMT. But it was short lived and returned back to constipation, I don’t know what’s worse really. Have you tried adding more fibre to your diet through what you eat, like adding milled flaxseed. Tbh everything seems to have a knock on effect to fatigue, so it’s like being stuck on a roundabout and you can’t get off with how it affects you daily. I was told last week to have a nap in the afternoon as this would help doh, it done matter how much sleep you have you’ll wake up tired!

All the best with the treatment @lornak21 x
@Fatgirlthin83 Wonky is the perfect word to describe it, and I know how you feel about changing plans and such; I feel the same, having to double think everything and cancelling plans with friends, I know they have my best interests at heart and want to support me, but it’s so difficult trying to get in the right headspace and have that self confidence. Take care x

Will definitely up the fibre @animali, have been adding milled flax seed to things, so will see how that goes.
Naps sound good, but I feel like they affect my sleep at night time.
As @James4 said, the heat makes everything 10 times worse, feel so sluggish and like my body is working overtime to do anything - and then randomly falling apart.
Take care x
Tbh, I use to love the heat! But since last year as soon as it heats up I get hyperhidrosis, which is hideous and yes it exacerbates my other symptoms until I cool down. Unfortunately I end up in hibernation mood in the extreme heat and the extreme cold! Which makes it a lonely old world!
Forgot to say increase milled flaxseed slowly and make sure you drink enough water otherwise it’ll make you constipated! Tbh I just add one teaspoon to my oats, as they’re soluble fibre which is good for you. Hope it helps but you may find it’s a constant juggling act of tweaking your diet!
Now that’s an issue if I don’t sleep well at night, I’m useless during the day, I tend to have a Power Nap after lunch but I think that’s down to all the pain I experience with spasticity.
Take care and I hope things eventually settle down for you. x

Hi,
Hope your urgency issue has resolved…
If it doesn’t, you could talk to a GP. Bowel issues can be MS, I know (practically everything seems to be MS sometimes). But there could also be other causes - worth checking?

Hi @Leonora
Agree with not trying to think everything is related to MS; that’s exactly what my neurologist told me.
Things seem to have got better, so it may have been the heat causing problems. I have a GP appointment next and am going to run it by them x
