Bossy Dog!!

Is anyone else bossed about by their dog??

We have our own dog Ben…and he is a typical dog. Feed him, excercise him and love him…he’s happy.

At the moment we are looking after our daughter’s dog, a cross terrier type, called Lucy…she’s 14 and very spritely. My daughter’s staying with us but is away for a few days.

I am getting bullied by this little squirt of a dog!!..she is also very vocal. Soon has she’s up on a morning, she’s leading me to the cupoard for her chews, then she wants toast, then playtime…I’m worn out eventually she decides to rest…the little darling…NOT!!

then it starts all over again. If you try and ignore her she makes these noises that sound like a squeeky growl. Or if your old enough to remember wooden tops…spotty dog. Its a nightmare

PS; I love her really

No, but I have a very bossy cat - woe betide if breakfast is not a 7:00 sharp ( normal weekday time) or if you ignore her demands for a cuddle! Love her loads too, even when she prefers her ‘Dad’ to me!

I have a bulldog called chumleigh He’s so demanding, he’s fine as long as everything revolves around him. But he’s great and my best mate

Oh dear. They have become the pack leader, and you have surrendered to their will completely

I have only ever had cats so I know that feeling very well…

Hi Blossom

I have two gorgeous golden retrievers called Sugar and Spice. They are soppy and like fluffly teddy bears who like nothing more than flopping on to their backs and having their tummy’s tickled!

Come morning time though when Spice decides she’s hungry she sits and barks intermittently until someone gets up and feeds her and her sister!

At this point I pretend to still be sleeping and my fab huby gets up and does the deed!

I have a Jack Russel called Patch. She wants my attention all the time and she is a bit naughty lol. I love her to bits and would be lost without her. Love Bex xxx

Thank you!! I’ve enjoyed reading about your lovely pets. They do bring a lotta love and comfort.

My daughter is back now…peace reigns once more in Blossoms household

My biggest dog (of two) is an irish wolfhound cross. He is huge and super soft. He likes to try and curl up on your knee. No idea at all how big he is and has no idea of spacial awareness! Love the bones of him though  x

Hi, my little toy poodle, also called Lucy and is 14 too, does rule the roost. We cant leave her alone, as she has epilepsy and now a serious heart condition, which makes her cough and gasp for breath.

Her meds cost us £70 an month, then there`s other vet bills, like nail trimming and boosters.

But I dont care that shes in charge. We dont know for how much longer well have her. We love her dearly.

In among her difficulties, she still wants a little play, loves dinn dinns and is a loving companion to me.

I guess your daughter has spoiled her Lucy just as much as we have our`s.

luv Pollx

Lorna!! that’s a cute story…bless him.

Poll!! Your Lucy sounds so sweet…your story made me feel quite tearful

Our pet’s do become very important in our lives and hearts, its true.

Before Ben, we had Benny a collie cross for 14 year and had to have him put to sleep…we were heartbroken.

We only managed two weeks without him, then we had to go to a rescue home where Ben picked us for his new mum and dad The house just seemed too empty
