Bob Marley

Bob Marley would have been 75 today,

His son Ziggy has been on Good Morning Britain and seems so lovely, as was his dad.

so today’s ear worms ought to be our favourite Bob Marley songs.

mine is Redemption Song.

“old pirates, yes they rob I, sold I to the merchant ships…”

Music is vital to my well being.

wishing you all peace, love, health and happiness

Redemption Song is wonderful, but as you beat me to it, I’ll say Jammin!

they are all wonderful and all remind me of good times.

Sunny, happy music for sunny happy memories.

Saw him in '78, just remember having a thumping headache from the ‘atmosphere’ and getting stuck on the car park! Oh yes, Peter Tosh had, had some kind of accident apparently. So not so sunny for me!

Redemption Song for me too!! You always get to pick the best ones Carole!!

Buffalo Soldier or maybe Is this love…

so many to choose from!

Is this Love has the line “we’ll be together with a roof right over our heads”. My lovely mum always used to sing along to Bob Marley songs when she was ironing but she got the lyrics a bit different “we’'ll be together with a roof rack over our heads”.

by heck mum, I still miss you every day.

I totally agree with you Carole!, I still treasure Bob Marley’s ‘Live’ lp and I have always refused to replace this by a cd, it’s just not the same! I also feel very privileged that my dutch heritage made me a huge fan of dutch bands too, some of them creating most wonderful songs the rest of the world will never be aware of! (‘Doe Maar’, ‘Toontje Lager’, singer ‘Boudewijn de Groot’…etc etc etc) and also Carole, ‘Ramses Shaffy and Liesbeth List’ singing ‘Laat Me’…, find it on YouTube!

I still miss, and always will, my mum too Carole, who would have been a wonderful grandma to my disabled daughter and son…, life just isn’t fair Carole, take care.
