Good blog as per usual it must be the teacher’s instinct your way with words is great Steve.
Being an ex butcher slaughterman I am delighted to hear you are taking on butchery skills and cleaning up after yourself. Some years back I showed (from my wheelchair) our son how to bone a turkey. The kitchen looked like a disaster zone after he finished and Heather spent ages cleaning up!

Argh, don’t get me started on eggs! After a bit of a Heston Blumental knowledge, I bought a special holey spoon to remove any watery seperated white before making poached eggs. As a consequence, I made perfect poached eggs on my very first try with no vinegar etc. and as a consequence, I like my eggs really fresh!
Good blog as usual

Good blog Steve , I’m always paranoid about salmonella but I usually buy the asda chicken in a bag and you don’t need to touch it. The biggest scare I remember from the past was mad cow disease I was always convinced that i might have caught it, I wonder now if the feeling I had in the past, not being able to walk properly and my head being dizzy were part of what I have now.
