BEST Exercise for Blood Sugar Control – Looking Anyone With Real Experience?

Hi everyone
I have been dealing with some ups and downs in my blood sugar and trying to control it naturally. Exercise for blood sugar control keeps getting mentioned everywhere, so before jumping into anything, I decided to do proper research. I spent quite a lot of time reading articles and reviews on trusted sites like the health section, and also went through many forum threads and blog discussions where people share real-life experiences. One thing I noticed is that most people don’t rely on exercise alone. They usually combine it with a clear routine and some kind of structured guidance. While reading comments and review summaries, two resources kept coming up repeatedly.

  • The Blood Sugar Solution 10-Day Detox Diet * (https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Sugar-Solution-10-Day-Detox

  • Activate Basic Controls of Blood Sugar – The Proper Guide in Controlling (* www.amazon.com/Basic-controls-blood-proper-controlling

I understand that both focus on exercise, food choices, and daily habits working together. I am not here to promote anything. I just want genuine suggestions from people who have experience or solid knowledge. Both seem to have a lot of reviews, and people say the guidance and features are helpful, but I am still confused about which one makes more sense in the long run. If anyone here has tried either of these or has expert insight, I would really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance for your help.

Good morning.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes near the end of 2023 - around the same time that all this other stuff was discovered (my brain lesions and demyelination)

There’s no silver bullet for sorting out blood sugar levels but, it can be done with some changes and careful management. I changed my diet to more healthy stuff - a lot less carbs and sugar and, being more careful with what I drink. If you’re able - a little activity also helps. I still do the housework and laundry, sometimes pop out for a short walk.

….. I use my blood glucose monitor twice a day to keep an eye on what’s happening - consistent small efforts do add up but, it does take time. A little weight loss also helps.

I was recently taken off Metformin and, I have what I hope will be my last diabetic review in April.

You don’t need to turn vegan and start running marathons but, a lot of small sustainable changes will all add up.

Good luck :+1:

Jon.

Hi there,

Are you prediabetic? If you are then there may be provision via a GP referral to free education on managing blood sugar.

I am in West Yorkshire and in my area you can get a free online or in person course on managing blood sugar. Mine was run by a qualified nutritionist. It was 13 sessions over 9 months and was very good. My blood sugar is now back in the normal range.

It could be worth asking your GP what services are available in your area. Or even a google might tell you.
