I lost my mum today to bronchial pneumonia. She was rushed into hospital at about 2.30 am and she died at about 4 pm. I know that losing a mother isn’t the same as losing a husband, but I can understand some of the shock and numbness of the loss. You have my deep sympathy, CC.

Loosing a mother is the same, i lost mine last february, and 3 weeks later was diagnosed with MS. I miss her everyday, then now i am dealing with my husband its a nightmare. I am really sorry for your loss CC, it is hard it took me weeks to come to turns with my mums loss. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thank you all for your lovely messages, it is hard, i am not coping well, now they want to do autopsy as the doctor who dealt with him last is not happy about the way he died, or the first diagnosis on going into hospital, so I am dreading tomorrow i cant bear the thought of it, but if it provides us with answers it will be worth it, as we never thought he had COPD he used to work with asbestos years ago, travelled abroad extensively, worked in jungles and i have always thought he had something. My beleoved mike, used to work even when he felt ill and was 70 when he retired lately never seemed to be well. I now realise when i woke up i am on my own i feel really vulnerable, i just want him back, and keep thinking he will be next door in his bed snoring. I think of all the times i told him off for leaving his stuff everywhere (he was a hoarder), now i wish he would just come in from the garage, and leave his oily fingerprints on the door. You never know just how much you love someone until they are gone, now i cant tell him. I just feel like wailing this is my worse time when i am on my own. xxxxxxx
