Back again - possible flare?

It’s been months since I posted. Last September/October/December I had bad dizziness and numbness and tingling in my left arm and leg but my MRI came back clear. Neuro gave me steroids and dizziness cleared up and numb tingles mostly went away eventually. I’m still being seen 6 monthly by the Neuro and am waiting for some more test dates to come through but I have been feeling positive and have been sure all will be fine - but on Saturday the dizziness has come back exactly the same as before. My left arm has felt a bit weird today too but I don’t know if I’m just imagining that or not! Two questions - what do I do? I’m due to see my Neuro in December but should I contact him and let him know? Also, I have started running 6 weeks ago and am in a wee running group training to run a 5k at the end of the month and I have been loving it but now I’m a bit scared - should I continue or ease up? I don’t know what I’ll say to the other girls, I’ve not really told anyone outside of my family about any of this going on. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

I think it is a good plan to keep doing the things you enjoy until something happens to oblige you to stop.

In other words, do not tamely concede ground without a shot fired to whatever might or might not be the matter with you. If something wants to stop you running (and I hope it doesn’t), make it work for it.

That sounds a bit glib, I’m afraid. More seriously, I do think it is usually best to test one’s limits to find out what they are. In other words, don’t narrow your life by voluntarily limiting nice activities as a precautionary measure. If you need to stop, you’ll know. In the meantime, don’t worry too much about doing yourself harm. I really don’t think that is likely.
