Hello Pat
I use a bread maker all the time, but for days when I really want to keep it simple, I have “bread mixes” from the supermarkets in my cupboards.
Open packet, put contents into bread-maker, add stated amount of water (plus little bit of butter/oil if liked). Set on rapid setting and loaf ready in 2 or 3 hours (depends on your bread maker). Really simple. Remember to allow for cooling time before you need to use loaf!
Tip - If you buy yeast, make sure it says “for use in breadmakers”.
Happy baking x
