soup maker

Hi all wet and windy in yorkshire, no snow hope it stays away. Daughter gave me a soup maker for xmas all l can say is its brill l got a ready choped pack of veg at the supermarket poped it in, its like a kettle filled with water to the mark 21 mins later fresh home made soup or if you want chunky 28mins, the choped packs are so usefull as my right hand is not good at holding things to peel chop ect. I no we can allways open a can but it does not taste the same. What do you find usefull to help around the home l need a bigger place to put all my gagets. its my birthday friday l wonder if l will get any more,

Take care all and warm regards Jan

Hi Jan

Sounds like a useful bit of kit, hope you have a lovely birthday on Friday.

Wet cold and windy here today (again)

Strangely enough my breadmaker. I find it easier to make bread than to go out and buy it! Hmmmm soup maker sounds great! I’m also short of space. Miserable out in London. Nice and cosy at home! Pat xx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR FRIDAY! Love Pat xxx

Mmmmm, Home made soup with home made bread…wish you both were my next door neighbours! Wet windy and miserable here too…but warm and cosy inside ! Nina xx

Have a love day on Friday too Jan! Would like to think I’d remember to say it on Friday but with my jelly brain it’s highly unlikely! Nina xx

Hello Jan, it’s a great bit of equipment and even at the price of pre-sliced vegetables it’s going to be cheaper than tins. Like Pat, we use a breadmaker for all our bread-such small home comforts make a huge difference! Best wishes, Steve.

Hi Guys,

mmmmm bread maker need to get flour to make bread for the cold winter nights regards Jan xx

I must admit that I’m amassing a large amount of gadgets in the kitchen too. My latest addition was an electric food chopper. I love the electric frying pan, slow cooker and steamer. Anything for healthy meals with minimal effort at the moment. Luckily my new house has a large kitchen, I’m looking forward to spending more time cooking. My perching stool doesn’t fit in this kitchen but the new one even has space for a table and chairs you can eat at. Dreading the move but can’t wait to be settled if that makes sense.

Happy birthday for Friday Jan.

Hi Cath

Oh how I wish my kitchen was bigger, hope yourmove goes well for you.

Thanks Pam

I haven’t got a moving date yet, all the paperwork is going through but I’m trying to get my house all packed up. Really excited and nervous about my move. A bigger kitchen is a definite positive, my little galley one is driving me mad now, finding it difficult having to stand for ages cooking as evenings are really difficult.

Hi Cath, Good luck with the move…I’m sure you’re dreading it but will be great once you are settled . Try and remember to delegate as much as you possibly can and REST REST REST whenever the opportunity arises …easier said than done I know . Let us all know how things go. Nina x

Thanks Nina

I’m doing it right and getting professional movers in, partly because I can’t do much but partly because we’re doing a house swap. The people whose house in buying are buying mine so it has to be done at the same time. I’m taking my time packing a few boxes every day and will shout for help from friends and family nearer the time of I need to. I’m not bothered about the unpacking, I’ve got my cleaning lady coming to help for a few hours on moving day to clean the kitchen cupboards, the bathroom and make my bed. As long as I’ve got stuff to make breakfast and to sleep and get clean I’m happy to take my time with the rest. I know my mum and dad will make sure the sitting room is reasonable and my kitchen cupboards are stocked, I’ve realized now to ask for help. Thanks for your concern xx

Have a lovely lunch out tomorrow Jan!!! Remember, for birthday dinner you have to have BIG desert! Freezing in London… we even had a 3 minute snowstorm earlier! No flooding here thank God. I do feel so sorry for those people who have been flooded for weeks. Pat xx
