Along wait!!!!

Hi,

I feel so miserable today, saw a neuro yesterday she could not give me any answers because she did not have my MRI results, this is because they were taken in a different hospital!!!

Feel I wasted 3hrs of my life for nothing. Had bloods taken, what do they test for in the bloods? My legs, ankles, arms and fingers are so heavy and stiff, I am so tired to the point where I can sleep 24hrs. Balance problems, vision blurry and my memory is so shocking, that in April I stopped driving because I forgot how to drive. This time last yr I noticed how things were changing, was very weepy and tearful always, put it down to my age I am 46 . Worked as Nursery Nurse for over 20yrs, and I started to feel I could not do the job. Found setting up classroom very difficult and doing tasks became hard, I would avoid doing them.

Then in Nov of last yr I was in bed for 8weeks, could not stand up with out falling down, felt I was so ill, but could not explain how I felt, so weak. In January I went back to work but was to soon and I had a breakdown…Put this down to working full-time, family issues money probs the lot. Was put on Prozac, and in March I picked up, and seamed to be on the mend.

Went back to work in April on reduced hrs, I seamed fine was happy to be back, 2nd week in I felt ill at work, dizzy and not really with it, felt my head feel like mash potatoe, left work and I have not been back since. Back at the GP and he just kept giving me sick notes, I had a counsellor which was ok, but my health really was not getting any better. Went back to GP, and told him how I felt weak and not be bothered with anything or anyone. He just tapped me on the hand and said its because you are not working!!!

Changed GP, told her about my head aches and the rest of my symptoms, she sent me for MRI Brain Scan, came back saying Demyelination of the white matter, could be MS.

Yesterday got told I have not seen your results yet so cannot tell you much, on checks in terms of reflex they seam ok, she was aware of the fact I am slow in moving my head and movements. Still in the wonderful world Limboland…

Just want answers, and I would like to talk to people who are in the same boat …Sorry for the esay!!! lol

Folks in my support group have been going through the same thing. Are you on facebook? If so friend me there and I’ll bring you into our private group. Meantime, I am sure there are members here who will also support you. My MS took years to diagnose (DX) and now I am in such bad shape. It’s enough to drive you up the wall and out the window! My heavy legs and such are also due to lymphedema, an accumulation of fluids in my limbs. If you might have that, ask your GP for therapy but also start doing lymph massage for yourself and see if it helps. It’s a way to gently move fluids from the limbs to the torso where your body can deal with it better. For any pain, try using magnesium oil or lotion and it may ease the tight and painful muscles. You can make your own using 1/2 c Epsom salts dissolved in 1/2 c boiling water. When cool, apply to muscles. Or, if you can bathe, soak in a tub with 2 c Epsom salts in it for 20 -30 minutes before rinsing off. It’s a way of transdermally moving the magnesium to right where you need it.
