Aeroplanes.

hello.

I’m sorry but this has nothing to do with MS but today I saw a Lancaster bomber flying at the Eastbourne airshow. It was magnificent. A big demonic beast.

Best wishes, Steve.

Steve., I know where you are coming from. For some reason I adore Lancaster Bombers. I think they are magnificent to watch. I was fortunate enough to watch two do a low fly past. Mesmerising. Did you enjoy the show? Anne X

Sadly, what you saw was THE Lancaster bomber, because we only have one airworthy example left (although Canada might have one too).

An iconic aircraft without doubt, but when you see how slowly the plane flies it must have made an easy target and can’t help thinking how brave the aircrew were.

Sounds like good day out.

Something for the Lancaster fanciers.

We had a Guest House in Eastbourne.

The air show is a real boost for the town. I loved sitting in my electric chair watching the whole range of humanity walk by. All sizes and shapes from the skinny latte leaf pushing skeletons to the heavily tattooed excruciatingly loud South London rip-off plumber. We saw two full fold-over stomachs walking proudly with their plastic glass of over-priced lager.

Best wishes.

Steve. I didn’t walk past you!! Wasn’t there! ! (Ré your last sentence!) Anne X

Anne, they were men. Although I was chatting to an enormous lady in the queue for the disabled toilet who had been driven down in a transit mini-bus from London. The poor love looked totally done in. But we had a good chat.
