Today my eldest Grandson passed the test for the RAF, providing he gets his predicted exam grades he will join as an Aircraft Technician (mechanical). His mum is so proud of him as are we all. To think at only 16 he may soon be leaving home is a little worrying but what a wonderful opportunity he has.
Just thought I’d share our good news, hope you are all having as good a day as I am. Off on my holidays next week don’t have any wild party’s while I’m away
Yesterday was the second time he took the test, the first time he was six points short of the level he wanted to join. He has worked hard revising for the resit and it paid off for him. We knew he had done well when he was walking towards the car he was trying to keep the grin off his face but wasn’t very successful
Im going to Mexico with a friend, neither of us is very mobile these days so will mainly be at the hotel lazing by the beach and pool. I don’t deal with the heat very well so close proximity to the water is a must.
Pat i’ve warned my neighbours there may be some loud music so you might get a few gate crashers
That’s brilliant news Jan, you must be so proud of him. It’s quite difficult to pass aswell so he done well. Great way to start your summer off heading to Mexico. I’m not jealous in the slightest… honest I’m not!!! How long are you going for? A week lying next to the pool or at the beach is my type of holiday, Handy for the bar aswell… Mines is a rum & coke tho, cheers. I’ll get the next round awright?
Thanks, yes we are very proud of him. He still has an interview and to gain his predicted exam results, do they still call them GCSE? His interview is the day I travel home from holiday.
I’m away for two weeks libertine, I think I’ll leave Ryan in charge of you lot, it seems to me he’s the only sensible one around
