Posted about this last year and got a letter today and it reads like this.
Good news-we have credited your account with £120 discount.
Dear Mr Kerr
Recently the govererment sent you a letter to let you know you qualified for
the new Warm Home Discount Scheme.The letter explained youd get a
discount on your electricity bill of £120 for winter 2011/12 through the
scheme,and that your energy supplier would be giving this to you,happy days i can have the heating on again.
My Supplier is Scottish Gas.
Reading between the lines most suppliers should do this,it is just that they dont advertise it,it is certanly worn a phone call,even the local cab office.
