It’s that time of year again!
I received a letter from Eon today inviting me to apply for the Warm home discount which this year has been increased to £140 off the winter fuel bill for eligible customers.
When I was with British Gas I wasn’t eligible so you will need to check with your supplier to see what their terms are. You’ll qualify automatically if on 12 July you were either aged under 65 and receiving only the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit OR aged 65 or over and receiving the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit even if you receive Savings Credit as well.
There are discounts for a limited number of customers depending on what benefits you are on. Rather than list them all here it’s easier if you either ring or check online with your own supplier. If checking online, go onto their website and search for Warm Home Discount.
