A ditty a day

Re my contribution, Post 28.

I’ve just had a private message no less(!) correcting my efforts.

Apparently…

Bosham… it’s pronounced Boz-ham, (I have family there, so know this straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak) so the limerick doesn’t quite work in this case!

Rather petty I think, considering the whole point of the thread was a little light humour.

Now, shall we say, Bosham, Boz-ham, Birmingham, Brighton, Clapham, Bodhrum…

Ok one from my childhood

Jack and Jill went up a hill

To fetch a pale of water

Not sure what they did up there

But now they have a daughter

Bo**ocks. Does that rhyme with Bosham?

A Major with wonderful force

Called out in Hyde Park for a horse

He looked all around

But no horse could be found

So he just rhodadendron of course

I read through some posts today

and they made me stop and think

people are tired and angry and sad

looking for something to make them feel glad

positive thoughts and little things are suggested

But we’re all feeling as though we’ve been bested

by, this stupid disease which I hate and deplore

it’s not easy getting on and trying to ignore

but I’m gonna find something today, just one thing

to make me feel normal and not such a burden

but yes, I’m awake and I’ve sorted my bits

so yes I’ve achieved it already I think

so I’m off to celebrate and find something yummy

to enjoy in the eating and add to my tummy xx
