Hi Sue,

You missed the point of me including Carry On films. They are a collection of appallingly, embarrassing farcical moments that go on for too long.

Rather like MS!

Hi Crochunter (lovely nom de plume. It has bite),

Hilary and Jackie is the true(ish) story of Jacqueline Du Pre, a concert cellist who’s life was turned into a tragedy by MS. I haven’t seen it since I’ve had my clinical symptoms of MS but it may be too harrowing for today’s audience. (or me, come to that). There’s no happy ending. She died aged 42.

Sorry; this is supposed to be a bit of fun isn’t it. I’m in a maudlin mood. Blame it on the baclofen.

Weepie, for those over a certain age ā€˜Run wild run free’, probably the first film I went to see on my own, my mother thought that as it involved a horse it would be something like National velvet or Follyfoot as it turned out it upset me quite a lot!

One of my favourites Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts - August: Osage County. Brilliant acting.
