So I’m sat watching the Chelsea flower show and see someone has done a garden for Parkingsons, just lovely, their promoting Parkinsons, which is great, but I ask myself what does the MS society do to promote MS, as far as I can see/hear…nothing, where I live in Yorkshire I hear so much about MND and Parkinsons, but very little about MS, what are you doing, do others in other parts of the country hear more than me ? Let me know, if not then come on MS society why are we paying our subscription, is it just to pay your wages ?

We don’t need bloody flowers. We need a cure. Spend resources on that.
No we don’t @GCCK, but we do need to get publicity and as far as I know we’re not getting any, people have no idea what we’re going through and by the way watch your language ![]()
I’ve noticed the same thing, there’s far more visibility for Parkinson’s and MND in my area than MS, and awareness really matters because it helps people understand daily struggles better. I recently read about employee wellness programs on BetterMe and they talked a lot about supporting long-term health conditions through education, workplace awareness and community support, which feels like the kind of promotion MS needs more of too. The ideas there about wellbeing campaigns and open conversations could really help bring more attention to MS in everyday life.
Totally agree @doperharvey that’s all I was saying.

It’s the same in my area, I would need to travel to attend Support groups held by ms society! It’s a poor show, and I’ve found everything is downplayed and a constant battle! It’s wrong and I know I’m not the only one, it’s a frustrating battle to deal with, and so many of us are left to struggle on. It’s ok others saying they want a cure, but we won’t see it in our lifetime. I do think they should do more with the DMT’s to try to help all diagnosed rather than it being a post code lottery. So everyone has the benefit of slowing down progression.
thanks @animali for your reply and I totally agree with what you say, so let’s hope if the powers that be are reading this they won’t take the post down, they’ll do something about it, I’m sure if we all stopped paying our subscription and donating money they would.
