First may i say thank you all who replyed to my original post’
Well i went to the appointment and what a waist of time and effort that was.
Up very early so daughter could help me get ready,2busses and a lot of hastle later we get there and go to the desk.
say who im here to see cant find me on the list and i say ive been put in support group, she says even though you still have to come and be seen. Asked for letter, and get sent round through lots of offices (dont make it easy to find) We go the area and wait some one eventally comes and we say who im to see , ok will tell him you here.
Waited 10 more mins and someone else says are you being seen to, yet again say who im here to see, getting very annoyed by now.
Eventually a man comes to see me YOU DONT HAVE AN APPIONTMENT, can i see your letter and again explain im in support group and that i had phoned to see if i had to attend when i got support letter. lucky i had written the day date and time and who i had spoken to on my letter.
He says wait a min and dissapears, im now wound up tighter that a corkscrew, then a very sruffy smelly man comes and sits next to us and statrs to cough and reach spitting on the carpet, we,re horrified and i cant help myself i say thats disgusting a security guard comes and takes him somewhere else.
A manager comes to speak to us and is full of appoliges cant say how sorry she is that ive been given the wrong info, and she was going to start an investigation into what went wrong, reiterated that whilst in support group you do not have to go to any appiontments unless you want to, she asked to keep my letter so she could use it i said yes but can you give me a copy for my records,by this time i was in tears, she gave me her name and a direct dial number should i have any problems, and also said a letter was supposed to have been sent to me tell ing me that i didnt have to go, and that she would write to me to let me know the outcome of her investigation.
Well what a waist of time that was, its taken me since then to recover enough to write this, and i wait with baited breath (NOT) to see wnat happens now
