Been feeling weak and heavy in my arms and legs. I find it hard to coordinate my movements and get a strange feeling in my head together with feeling unbalanced. It is so up and down its like very uncomfortable. Does anyone think it is a relapse? It has got slightly worse each day for the past week or so. Feeling out of control, any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Anon, I am going through the same thing at the minute but with pains in my legs and arms also. I spoke to my MS nurse this morning who is going to sort out some medication. I would think that it is definitely a good idea to speak to your MS nurse! I hope you get this sorted Amy
Hi That is how my last main relapse started. I gradually lost all coordination in my right hand and arm over a week which left me unable to write or fit a spoon in a yoghurt pot…let alone get it to my mouth! Luckily my left side was not effected so I got quite good at using my left side. I would speak to an ms nurse or GP who would be able to offer you advise. My ms nurse likes to keep a record of any changes because it keeps a record of any progression/ frequency of relapses, or not, of your ms. Hope it is just a flare up of symptoms because of the weather or a cold but best to get it checked out. Mish x
I too am new to this all and at the moment everyday feels like 1 big relapse and has since Jan 29th 2013 as i havent felt right since then , im too in the midst of trying to figure out if theres a space between a relapse , theres great folk on here with great advice also keep your MS nurse uptodate with it all mate
Hi I’ve been experiencing exactly the same for the past 10 days, for the past 2 days I have also started to experience nerve pain - painful! Enoughs enough so today I spoke to my neuro, he has prescribed with a 5 day course of steroids, back in October I experienced the same, and within 24hrs of starting the steroids I saw great improvement with my symptoms - I’m still working on trying to improve my mobility following my big relapse back in 2012 but then that’s a different story! I would definetly recommend speaking to your nurse/neuro to get some help, it might be nothing and just a short term flare up of old symptoms but best to run it by them just in case. Hope your feeling better soon! Liana
