Anybody found a waterproof pant that isnt noisy, sweaty or leaky? Been using net pants for a while but following mishaps tried ‘mobility store’ waterproof pants over the top but disappointingly unsatisfactory.
Hi Mr Bob, not sure if you are already in touch with your local continence team, but if not it may be worth a chat to the GP or MS nurse to get a referral. They can usually help with these things, and have other options too, such as a urinary sheath (of course it will depend on your specific circumstances). I used to be a sales rep for a continence equipment company!
Mr Bob,
Do contact Manfred Sauer - look at them online for contact numbers. They are a company who deal with all incontinence products. . Many of the staff are disabled - and they design products that they know will work for them. Everything can be got on prescription - but they will discuss your problem and send you ‘samples’. They are more ‘male-orientated’ - so just the business for you.
Do hope you find a solution - as l know only too well what you are going through. l have a SPC - 19yrs now - and a life-style changer.
Thanks, the continence nurse advised the net pants and they have actually done quite well but on occasion lately I have felt they have come close to being overwhelmed or actually leaked. Hopefully bladder will settle down again. Could do without the uncertainty. Just wondering if there is a better option apart from plastic pants to wear over them. Collection devices unsuitable for my work.
Not sure if this is any help, but I recently tried some Tena ladies pants and they were really comfy, didn’t rustle and didn’t make me feel clammy at all. I bought them on Amazon so yes, I had to pay for them, but they were much better than anything provided by continence clinic. May be worth a try?
Mags
Thanks Mags, used Tena and Boots pants before getting prescription pads but still had leaks. Though sometimes my fault as I somehow ended up putting them on inside out - my close vision is quite poor and I cant easily tell.
Perhaps you need to have pads that absorb more liquid… I use “4 drop” tena during the day and “6 drop” at night - they do go up to “8 drop” - (its just the way tena identify the absorbensy levels) - I also use ISC (interemittent self catheterisation) during the day - it just involves a visit to the loo every 3 - 4 hours - nobody at work knows, but it keeps me dry - again the continence nurse can help you.

Thanks Carol - see what you mean. This Moliform pad is only rated at 1 drop (just over 500 mls). Range goes up to more than double so I will see if a change solves the problem. Hope it wont be too thick though.
