I don’t suffer with the hug but my legs, specially my feet, burn most nights it’s torture so you have my sympathies. I try to cool down before bed by turning the heating off early and shedding extra clothes but no chance tonight. I’ve had the heating on all day trying to dry a carpet I had cleaned this morning it like an oven
In (cyber)space no-one can hear you scream. It’s not true. We’ve just heard you loud and clear. And why not. I get the legs always and the hug sometimes. Occasionally the left will be like the proverbial dead fish; dead but twitching like it’s had ten thousand volts stuck in it. Yet we still go on. True warriors. Battling through the brain fog on the field of hope.
Hope you get some sleep Pam, I am just in bed with two painkillers and a few games of freecell on me kindle then sleeping till morning if we don’t get another storm. It was lashing down earlier beating against the Windows.
So sorry to hear this. I like Steve’'s post and totally agree with him. I have terrible problems with my legs and feet Gets worse when I a un bed. So scream away. You are allowed. Sending hugs Anne X
Screams coming over loud and clear! Can yea hear me from the very N of UK.
Pain relief has now worn off, as usual.
It’s 4.30 a.m. and am sitting with more pain killers and a cup of tea made by my “long suffering” partner (don’t tell him I said this he’ll be hurt) wishing the bloomin’ pains would just go away. Keeping smiling
l use magnesium oil - massage into aching muscles and joints. AND l also take magnesium supplements - Magnesium Malate - and Magnesium L-Threaonate. And vitd3. This along with a couple of sprays of Sativex at night - does make my legs behave at night - gives me a lot of comfort without taking pain-killers etc.
I am sorry not to reply individually, but thank you all my wonderful friends, your words mean so much, and is really appreciated.
Last night was a right bummer, and today everything hurts and feels weak, so it is (yet another) day of doing nothing. At least the sun is shining, the ducks have already visited, so watching the little birds devouring what the ducks left.
Hey Pam you’re allowed to scream and rant, you help loads of us when we’re doing it, it’s only fair you do too. It helps anyway I think, it’s not good to keep it all bottled up. Plus we all know and understand how you’re feeling. It does suck tho, no doubt about it. It’s a piss take actually… I hope when you wake up in the morning it’s a better day for you & you’re not as sore x
Rants and screams completely valid. I did scream once when my wife was out but unfortunately despite living in a detached house I managed to scare my neighbours. I felt like a total plumb and had to apologise like a naughty schoolboy…
Hi Pam, so pleased to read you are feeling better now hun.
It`s a chuff, the pains and problems we have. It does help to know we have all this support here.
I added some extra meds just a couple of days ago, as I was having chronic pain and discomfort in bed. Quinine and an extra 25mg of amitriptyline has helped quite a bit.
Pam I’m sorry to hear you’re having a tough time. I do the silent scream a lot too (semi detached house, small village with lots of busy bodies). I hope it’s helped, you’ve had a quiet weekend and are feeling better??? MS is really a pain in the rump and many other areas. Take care.
