LEGS ON FIRE

Does anyone else get this. My legs feel like they are on fire, and ache too. I feel rank and nerve pain is added on top. Ugh… is there a fireman in the house lol. . Trying not to cry but really this is too much. Then tomorrow it will be gone, and something else takes its place.

Pain clinic on Monday, i expect that will be a waste of time. x

Hi

I very often get this in bed, or if I am trying to rest, so I feel for you.

Are you on any medication? I take amitriptyline , which helps a bit, or otherwise put a cold flannel or such on them, maybe worth a try.

Hope your appointment with the pain clinic helps.

Is it like burning and freezing at the same time?

All it takes is a single movement for the fires to burn and then there is a feeling of freezing; burning freezing. It’s a real burden in that I’m actually reluctant to move. Then another time I think about moving and I have a huge leg spasm. Oh the joys. I find nothing helps.

Best wishes, Steve x

Lol Steve your such a cheerful chappie laugh

What you describe is my legs and you have them down to a tee. Thanks for reminding me that nothing helps!!! But you are right. I have tried all sorts of tablets and nowt work for me. Amytriptalene gave me hallucination I saw aubergine floating in my hall way and the leaded light window was on fire …nice

yep, my legs do that, but only at certain times of day. Burning, but cold. I always have a rug over my legs, and a hot water bottle helps when it’s too much.

I think a lot of my leg pain and spasms is due to my bowel and/or bladder spasming. Now I have my bowel behaving itself with Peristeen, I notice set times of the day when the neuropathic pain comes on; I think it’s the bowel moving everything along the bus. Jus guessing, though.
