If you’re living in the UK and on a low income and in receipt of benefits you may be eligible for a warm home payment of £140 from your electricity supplier to help towards your heating costs for winter. The criteria differs from company to company but if you look on their websites they should have this information and explain how you apply.
It’s a government led scheme to aid those on lower incomes to heat their homes, but not well advertised. Some suppliers are accepting applications now so it may be worth having a look.
