I do this too…me and door frames are deady enemies! It’s so frustrating, isn’t it, when you make a concerted effort to navigate around something and then you just walk into it anyway!
I am also constantly tripping over things on the floor (mostly courtesy of my untidy labrador, who is very good at getting all his toys out of their box, but not so good at putting them back!) as I just do not see anything on the floor as I am walking!
I got my first ‘tut’ in town yesterday as I was walking I veered to the left without having due consideration and care for those behind me. I guess if I had had my stick with me may have sent a clear message out to others to be vary of me. But I have not come to that stage yet, I can manage with the tuts at the minute. When I take my dog George out I take my stick as I go onto uneven ground and this way the stick could be seen as a stick to fend vicious dogs off.
