I used to wake up in the middle of the night and needed to have a pee. By the time I had used a catheter I wa wide awake and it would take me a couple o hours to go back to sleep. I mentioned this to my consultant and he prescribed me desmopressin. That was 10 years ago. Since then I have never been woken up to go to the loo.
Talk soon,
Patrick

It’s good that that’s working well for you
Have you ever had your blood sugar levels tested?
All the best mate.

I’ve had blood tests done from time to time but never known what is being tested and why

I tend to be very direct with my consultant if there’s anything I want to know. He seems to respond quite well to it. It can’t hurt to try with yours
I was peeing a lot more frequently 3 years ago. Then I was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic after a blood sugar level test. That level really spiked when I was put on steroids.
On the journey to my MS diagnosis I was tested for lots of stuff including HIV and Syphilis. They also did the standard blood count. I’m having tests now for Immunoglobulin levels(they dropped a bit low a short while ago so, they’re keeping an eye on it) but, I think that’s just all routine stuff.
Someone on here that knows a bit more may be along shortly - there’s a lot of nice, experienced folks on here.
Take care mate
Jon.
