URGENT Eye drooping

Last week my wife has after numerous tests been told it is highly likely she has MS and she has had bloods taken and will have a new full brain scan for conclusive results, however today she has reported eye dryness and one eyebrow seems to have significantly dropped.

Has any one any idea on this and should I take her to hospital?

Thanks

I do hope you have taken her to hospital by now.

It may well be a MS symptom, but it could also be Bells Palsy or a stroke. At least by going to the hospital she will be checked over and may well get more tests or even be admitted if necessary and/or an immediate answer. Wishing you both well.

She took some Ibufen and had a lie down and within an hour it had cleared and gone back to normal, not sure that this is a sign of stroke or bells palsy but would this be something that any other MS people have experienced?

Thanks for the advice and concern Poppy

Hi sharkey,

As Poppy say’s take her to A+E ASAP.

The whole problem might not be MS but something like Sjogren's Syndrome: What Is It?

They will sort it.

I suffer from this a lot and when it first happened 3 years ago, we were concerned that it was a stroke - it wasn’t. Many things can cause this including migraines, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Hemifacial spasms - I suffer from all 3!!! I also recently discovered that I have an eye condition called Blepharitis. It’s like dry eye and it causes problems with vision, bloodshot eyes, itchy and sore eyes. It is easily treated with ointment and drops. I would definitely get it checked out with your GP to be on the safe side.

Take care
