Turkey - incontinence pads

Spending two weeks in Antalya shortly. Anybody know if it is straightforward to buy supplies there over the counter?

Dunno about that. There must be some way of finding out via Mr Google.

I`ll see what I can come up with.

just googled and not found much. You may end up taking supplies with you.

I think there should be extra baggage allowance for medical products on planes.

Anyone know owt about that?

Don’t know about Turkey, but I bought some in Malta last year. They cost about double the price in the UK. I should try and take what you need with you if that’s possible. As Poll said, find out if you can have extra baggage. Email the airline or holiday company (whichever you are using) to ask them.

Had another quick google on your behalf and see that some airlines do offer extra baggage allowance for medical supplies. I guess pads arent exactly medical supplies, BUT you need them because of a medical condition, dont you?

its possible to buy pads in greece. i wouldnt take extra as they are very heavy (even when dry!) and they are not strictly medical (tho i see what poll is saying)

i would contact the airline direct rather than the hol company to clarify but for my own peace of mind i would buy when there whether that be female pads or baby-they aint going to be seen so nobody will know anyway.

enjoy your hol!

Thanks guys, found out there is at least one brand called Joly that should be available through pharmacies.

Not a problem afterall. Some supermarkets routinely stock, e.g.Mıgros stock Conped and Joly brands and even Depends but not the mens pants. About £10 for 15.

glad you got answers.

my strange brain read the title and had a picture in my head of a turkey wearing pads!

(i scare myself with sort of stuff)

have a great holiday
