I use a Travelscoot and am a great fan if mobility is becomign an issue. I have serious foot drop in my left foot but I can lift my right leg at least 15 inches off the ground. This is necessary to get off and on the Travelscoot. The big advantage is the weight, less than 20 Kg and it folds up to the size of a large golf bag.
Last month I took it with me when I flew to Europe with two different airlines. Its easy to put onto and lift off a train. Fellow passengers ar only too willing to help. A smile is very useful.
If you are looking to buy a mobility scooter then give this some saerious thought.
