Toe tripping trouble

My left toes are so sore from tripping over themselves most days. I am booked in for neuro-physio on Monday but my poor toes are really sore…anyone got any advice? I take a crutch outdoors and I trip less, this toe damage is caused mainly in the house…up any step we have really…grrrrr any advice welcome. Gill

Do you wear shoes or slippers inside? I have hard soled boot type slippers that support my feet. Perhaps your poor toes just need a bit of protection? I wish you all the best for Monday

Scientists have devised socks to prevent stumbles and falls. Looking like normal white ankle socks, they have a special synthetic material at the toe.

This pulls the toes upwards as the wearer walks, preventing them catching on stairs - a major cause of falls around the home.

It also has the effect of moving the centre of gravity back towards the heel, making falls less likely.
Early-stage studies show that the socks, designed by Japanese researchers, significantly reduce tumbles.

Thanks to you both. You know it doesn’t seem to make a difference if I wear shoes or slippers…though I favour slipper booties…mmmmm cosy… i seem to trip equally. I have to say I am going to buy the socks and see how I get on with them…what a brilliant invention! Using a forum can be so helpful…Dinks I am so grateful you spotted this for me.Gill x

I just read the detail (I tend not to read the detail) they are not going to be on sale for another 5 years!!! I will have no toes left by then…boo hoo! Life can be cruel

I like the look of those socks too.

Thanks a million

The best option for this would be to wear either slippers or shoes all the time this would really help you a lot  since I always used to wear shoes(Outside) and slippers(Inside the house) and believe me till now I haven’t found any kind of problem yet.
