Tingling query

Hello

I’m just looking for some advice before I make an appointment with my GP. I’ve been having this strange symptom recently which is difficult to describe, it’s like a sharp tingling in my left abdomen and it then spreads like a wave of tingling down my left leg? It happens frequently and when I Google ‘tingling’ it suggests MS. I’ve also been having this buzzing feeling, feels like a mobile vibrating in my right foot, ankle and knee which comes and goes.

I’m not usually an anxious person and rarely visit the GP , am I overreacting or should I make an appointment to discuss this?

Thanks Nicola

Hi Nicola.

It’s worth keeping an eye on and making some notes of what happens and how often, especially if you notice anything that seems to set it off. Beware of Google results - it can be a bit of a doom monger.

Any concern that you have with your health is worth discussing with your gp.

It’s funny that you mention the feeling like a mobile buzzing. I’ve been having that in my right thigh lately - it feels like my phone going off in my pocket. I’m not properly diagnosed yet and, I know that I haven’t got any spine lesions so, I’m not too concerned. If it keeps happening or changes, I’ll have a chat with the MS nurse.

Take care x

Jon.

Best let the GP decide what’s important, I think. If I were you I would make an appointment.
