Hi all, hope you are able to enjoy the sunshine! I need some help/advice for my son (46) who is now severely disabled. He can no longer support himself in an upright sitting position, and he spends the day in a large armchair recliner, which about a year ago would have been very comfortable for him.
Unfortunately they stopped his Tysabri which was keeping him relatively stable and he has now deteriorated rapidly. He cannot, as I said, sit upright despite various pillows and cushions, and the only alternative is for him to stay in bed. I have been checking out support chairs, but I am not sure if they would be supportive enough.
I am willing to pay out of my small pension pot if that would help him, and of course will ring OT and social services when Easter is over ( it does go on far too long when one needs the professionals!) but would appreciate any advice this weekend regarding finding a suitable chair.
Thanks all xxxx
